City of Germantown receives 2019 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award!

We are thrilled to announce that City of Germantown, the 2017 TNCPE Excellence Award recipient, is one of six organizations to be honored with a 2019 Baldrige Award for Performance Excellence!
The City of Germantown, Tenn., located just east of Memphis, established a defining goal: Excellence. Every Day. Residents and visitors say Germantown is one of Tennessee's most vibrant, attractive, and safe residential communities. Its low crime rates, high bond ratings, short emergency response times, and focus on education attest to the city's commitment to excellence.
The following six organizations have received the 2019 Baldrige National Quality Award:

Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (nonprofit)
Howard Community College, Columbia, Maryland (education)
Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, Illinois (nonprofit)

A statewide nonprofit, TNCPE is grounded in the Baldrige Excellence Framework—a holistic
framework used by organizations across multiple industries to improve their performance and achieve
sustainable results. More than 1,400 organizations have participated in and benefited from the TNCPE
program. Six Tennessee businesses— City of Germantown, Bristol Tennessee Essential Services, Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation, Pal’s Sudden Service, Eastman Chemical Company, and Federal Express—have received both the prestigious Baldrige National Quality Award and the TNCPE Excellence Award.
