Megan Barry is the vice president, ethics and compliance for Premier Inc., a Baldrige-award winning company. She also serves county-wide as an elected official for Metro Nashville/Davidson County as council-at-large. She is the former president of Barry & Associates, an independent consulting organization to multinational corporations on issues dealing with business ethics and corporate social responsibility, and she has recently served as the associate director of the Cal Turner Program for Moral Leadership at Vanderbilt University. Prior to starting her own business, she was the director of corporate social responsibility and business ethics for Nortel Networks.
She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Baker University.

As President of Bridgestone Americas Manufacturing Group, Stephen “Steve” W. Brooks is responsible for ensuring that the company’s tire plants continue to meet technological changes and continue to improve processes, resulting in superior quality products while remaining competitive in a global marketplace.
Brooks began his career with then-Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. at Warren County, Tenn., in 1989 as an Area Manager in Stock Cutting and worked his way up to Division Manager of Operations and Information Services by 1994. He was part of the start-up team as General Manager, Operations, for the Aiken County, S.C., facility in 1997, becoming Plant Manager there in 2000.
In 2002 he was named Vice President of Quality Assurance for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC at its Nashville, Tenn., headquarters and then took on the position of Vice President of Manufacturing Operations in 2003 before being named to his current position. Brooks also serves on the boards of Bridgestone Bandag, LLC and The Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund & Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, among others.
Brooks earned his master’s of business administration from Vanderbilt University.

Andy Czuchry received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut with in guidance and control systems engineering. He has more than 20 years experience as a professional manager in technology innovation and the electronics manufacturing industry. Andy has been the holder of the AFG Industries Chair of Excellence in Business and Technology since joining East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in 1992. He also holds a dual appointment as a tenured full professor in both the Department of Management and Marketing and the Department of Technology. His areas of expertise are Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Technology Innovation, Quality Management and Continuous Improvement.
Prior to joining ETSU Andy served as President of IRISS, a $148 million joint venture between Raytheon and General Dynamics. He has served on the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence Panel of Judges since 1993 and is also currently serving on the Board for the Northeast Tennessee Technology Council. He has published extensively in refereed journals and proceedings of professional organizations related to his field.

As Quality Manager for Aegis Sciences Corporation, Dr. Darcie Wallace-Duckworth is responsible for team member orientation, training and continuing education, as well as quality control and assurance. She is charged with developing and improving each team member’s understanding of forensic analytical toxicology and quantitative chemical analysis.
In addition, she is charged with maintaining the Aegis’ quality program.
Before joining Aegis Sciences, Wallace-Duckworth was a professor at Goucher College in Baltimore. She earned a Doctor of Arts degree in chemistry from Middle Tennessee State University and a master's degree in education from Goucher.
Wallace-Duckworth is a member of the American Chemical Society, American Society of Quality, and American Society for Training and Development.

Tamera A. Fields is the Assistant Vice President of Quality for 2009 and 2005 TNCPE Excellence Award winner Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA), where she is responsible for business excellence and performance improvement for MSHA’s multi-facility health care system. Prior to her position with MSHA, she was an operations supervisor and quality manager for Citibank. She is a Certified Quality Manager, ASQ and has a BS degree from Tusculum College.
Tamera has served on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners as well as the TNCPE Board of Examiners.

Jim Ford provides Baldrige-based training, advisory guidance and technical support to the Tennessee Division of Adult Education, adult education programs and the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. In addition, he helps TNCPE improve its applicant/customer training processes, develops programming for the TNCPE/Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Three Star Program partnership and assists with examiner training curriculum and materials.
Jim’s teaching experience comes from the US Air Force and Air National Guard (ANG), where he was an academic instructor. He taught at the ANG Professional Military Education Center (community college of the Air Force), ANG Quality Center (teaching Total Quality Management courses), and the Air University. He served as the Quality Advisor for the 134th Air Refueling Wing in Knoxville. In addition, Jim worked as a federal and state criminal defense investigator for seventeen years in New Jersey and developed national defense investigation training programs.

Terry Holliday, Ph.D., was selected as Kentucky’s fifth commissioner of education in July 2009.
Holliday, 58, served as superintendent of the more than 20,000-student Iredell-Statesville school district from 2002 until 2009. During his tenure, he received recognition in a variety of areas, including being named 2009 North Carolina Superintendent of the Year; receiving the 2009 Grayson Medal for Innovation in Quality from the American Productivity Quality Council; being named the 2008 North Carolina Music Educators Association Superintendent of the Year; and selected as a 2008 Friend of NCAAHPERD, a physical education and health award.
Under his leadership, the Iredell-Statesville school district received the 2008 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
Holliday served as North Carolina School Superintendent Association president and as a member of the North Carolina Race to the Top Committee, the North Carolina Blue Ribbon Commission on Testing and Accountability, the North Carolina Principal Evaluation Rubric Development Committee, the North Carolina E-Learning Commission/Virtual High School Advisory Committee, the Governor’s Teacher Working Conditions Advisory Committee, the United Way Board of Directors, the Statesville and Mooresville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors and many others.

After joining Poudre Valley Health System in 1991, Priscilla Nuwash served in numerous management capacities before taking on her current responsibilities as Poudre Valley's Director of Process Improvement. She is charged with putting the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence into operation throughout the health care network. During her tenure in this role, Poudre Valley Health System received four Baldrige site visits and became the only two-time recipient of the Colorado Performance Excellence Peak Award. Priscilla is a Senior Examiner on the Malcolm Baldrige Board of Examiners. She holds a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver; a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo. and is a Certified Lean Master.

Mike Murphy is President and Chief Executive officer of Sharp HealthCare. He oversees a workforce of nearly 14,000 employees, 2,600 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers. Under Murphy’s direction, Sharp has dedicated itself to The Sharp Experience, which is transforming the health-care experience for employees, physicians and customers. This focus on purpose, worthwhile work and making a difference has led to increased employee, physician and patient satisfaction, enhanced loyalty and improved outcomes as Sharp strives to fulfill its vision of becoming the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care. As a result of this focused organizational improvement effort, President George W. Bush and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez announced Sharp HealthCare as one of five organizations to receive the 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s highest Presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence.
Mike was appointed to his position in June 1996. His career at Sharp began in 1991 as chief financial officer of Sharp Grossmont Hospital before moving to Sharp's system-wide role of vice president of financial accounting and reporting. Prior to his appointment as president and CEO, Murphy served as senior vice president of business development and legal affairs. In that capacity, he directed major business transactions and evaluated and implemented business development opportunities throughout the Sharp system.
Mike's career in health care spans more than 20 years. Before joining Sharp, he worked in the public accounting industry specializing in health care, most recently as a partner with Deloitte and Touche, an international accounting and consulting firm.

With nearly 15 years at Sharp HealthCare and 20 years in the health care industry, Sonia is a frequent national speaker on creating better health care experiences. In 2005 she was the first person in the nation to be recognized for her individual achievement in the emerging Experience Economy, receiving the Experience Management Achievement (EMA) award. Anita Ricker has worked for the non-credit, continuing education department at WSCC for the last 14 years. Prior to accepting her current position, Anita served the college as an information technology adjunct faculty member for 10 years. During that time, Anita also owned and operated a retail computer sales and consulting service business in Greeneville, Tenn.
For the past three years, Anita has focused on corporate customized training programs offered both on campus and offsite. Anita has worked with more than 25,000 students over the years and has provided training services for over 500 companies in several south-eastern states.
She has received numerous teaching awards including multiple Instructor of the Year awards, as well as departmental leadership awards. In addition, Anita has successfully written and published an information technology instructor's manual in conjunction with Prentice Hall.
Anita has a BS in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration from East Tennessee Sstate University. She is working on her dissertation to complete a doctorate in Post-Secondary and Private Sector Leadership from ETSU.

Chuck Shoopman is Assistant Vice President of the University of Tennessee's Institute for Public Service (IPS). The Institute is composed of five outreach organizations that link university expertise with community and workplace needs. Chuck leads the organization's efforts to help businesses and communities that are working to improve job retention and promote job growth. This is Chuck's second tour of duty with UT, having previously worked at IPS from 1981 through 1993.
Prior to returning to the University, Shoopman worked with Tennessee Valley Authority's Economic Development organization for more than 10 years. While at TVA he served in a variety of leadership roles, including Acting Vice President of Economic Development. Chuck led a variety of economic development initiatives including the organization's revolving loan programs, small business assistance efforts, and industrial development activities.
He is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Vanderbilt University.

Professor of Management, Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business, Belmont University
Dr. Susan G. Williams is a professor of management in Belmont University's Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business. Her teaching interests include negotiation, decision making, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking. Susan came to Belmont in 1989 and has served the university in several capacities, most recently as Vice President of Administration and Planning before returning to the classroom full-time in 2001. Susan holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from East Tennessee State University; her Ph.D. is from the University of Georgia.
After receiving her Ph.D., Susan taught at in the University of Georgia system and at East Tennessee State. She had been a business owner and entrepreneur in Nashville for several years before coming to Belmont.
Susan is an active public speaker and consultant on topics related to management. Representative clients include Penn State University, The United Methodist Church, Vanderbilt University, AAA, Disney, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She recently completed a three year appointment as a judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a Secretary of Commerce appointment. Williams has served the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence in various capacities since its inception in 1993; she now serves on the Panel of Judges.
In her tenure at Belmont University, Williams has been named Most Inspirational Professor by many Massey Graduate School of Business graduating classes.
