At the 2009 Excellence in Tennessee Banquet, TNCPE began a new tradition, presenting the Champion of Excellence Award to an individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership in the pursuit of performance excellence within his or her organization.
Heather Schoch, Business Excellence Leader at CIGNA Government Services, became TNCPE's second Champion of Excellence Award. She was honored Feb. 24, 2010, for her accomplishments as a key driver in the pursuit of performance excellence within CIGNA.
Heather is known by her colleagues as someone who lives and breathes quality, continuous improvement and performance excellence. Over the past four years, she has made CIGNA's Business Excellence program come alive.
Nominations for the Champion of Excellence Award are solicited from TNCPE members and member organizations. The award recipient is selected by the executive committee and confirmed by the full board of directors.
